Moving on

People can be so ungrateful especially young kids.
Recently at football it dawned on me how lucky some of the boys are to have both parents at football. Some may even be seperated or divorced but most still come to training or to the matchday. One lad moaned that he was a bit upset because his Dad couldn't come much and basically had to put up with his mum. This dad i spoke to about 2 months ago. God what anice bloke he is. He expressed sheer disappointment in not being able to watch his son as he has to work Saturdays and even more so now the little one wants a fancy holiday.
I told him, oh bollocks to it. I told Jordan that he was very lucky to have both his mum and dad around and proceeded to explain my early life. He said he was very sad for me which meant quite alot coming from such a young impressionable boy as i knew he really meant it.
time is a great healer and i want " you all" to know that yes i'm still a bit hurt by it all but i don't hold any grudges i just get a bit sad when i hear things like this http://www.jcbsong.co.uk/jcbvideo.asp as i know that i could've,could've missed out on something , then i think back to how much of a close family we were, just the 3 of us and reckon i didn't really miss out on that much after all.
The song does tug at the heart-strings a bit though.

Take a listen

seriously, and I stand by this with hand on heart - I look back at my childhood with only the fondest of memories - I class you and I very lucky, Andy, to have had someone like our dear mother to provide us with a life that was full of love - not to mention our lovely granny too :)

If I had to go back and do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing... well, maybe I wouldn't be so much of a dick as a teenager...
